118 returned to Himachal Pradesh from Hydrabad through a special train on Wednesday

As many as 118 passengers have returned to Himachal Pradesh from Hydrabad through a special train on Wednesday, stranded due to countrywide lockdown. These passengers got down at Pathankot Railway Station. SDM Nurpur Dr. Surendra Thakur, Naib Tahsildar Desh Raj Thakur and other nodal officers applauded them. This train moved from Hydrabad at 10pm on Monday. Earlier, a special train also reached on this Monday at Pathankot with 259 persons on board. All passengers were thermally screened.
SDM Dr. Surendra Thakur told that all these passengers were sent to through HRTC buses to various quarantine centers created in their districts. Passengers belonging to Kangra district were sent to the Institutional Quarantine Center at Kotala. He told that this batch included 37 passengers from Kangra, 19 Mandi, 10 each from Shimla and Hamirpur, seven each from Una and Sirmaur, nine each from Kullu and Chamba, six Bilaspur and four from Solan,

Vicky Rawat of Mandi district, working as HM with a tourism unit at Hydrabad, told that he had left all hopes of getting back to their home in such a worldwide crisis. He reached at Pathankot with his wife Sapna and 4 year old son, Parv. The State Govt. made it looking so easy, he said. He and his wife thanked Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur for his endeavors. Similarly Gopal Thakur and his wife Hansa also thanked the State Govt.
Happiness and solace was, also, visible on the faces of other passengers including Priyanka of Theog, Sanjay of Chirgaon, Chchindon Khan of Tissa. Kalyan Singh along with his wife Hima and son Suraj told that they were feeling relaxed after reaching at their place. The administration provided them all facilities which made their journey quite easy.
Meanwhile SDM Dr. Surendra Thakur told that samples of 14 persons out of 15 were collected on Wednesday, who came out of other States. All these people have been kept at institutional quarantine center at Kandwal. Earlier, 28 persons were sent to their homes after they were tested negative. They will have to remain at home quarantine for 14 days
